WALKING TOURS and HIKING PROPOSAL
Franzlalm-Russbach
Hiking- and Walkingtrack, 4.8 km, easy/medium
Path No. 46, approx. 1.5 hours
After the ascent with the cable car "Hornbahn" a path brings you down the valley passing the snowmaking lake further to the "Franzlalm" (in operation) and from there you will come down to Russbach district Gseng. Afterwards you can walk along the old road to get back to the valley station of the cable car "Hornbahn".

Path No. 46, approx. 1 hour
After the ascent with the cable car "Hornbahn" you can enjoy the wonderful surroundings, while hikinig to the "Edtalm" hut. You will cross meadows, woods and fields. Treat yourself to some fine food (alp snack) on the sun terrace of the "Edtalm" and recharge your batteries. The path from the top station of the cable car to the "Edtalm" hut and back can also be reached with the "Ameisenexpress".
"Hornspitze-Schattauhöhe-Russbach"
Hiking- and Walkingtrack, 8 km, meduim
Path No. 45, 46, approx. 2 hours
After the ascent with the cable car "Hornbahn" a path brings you down the valley passing the snowmaking lake. There you follow the signs "Horn Rundweg". This tour is an insiders' tip for those who like to treat oneself to some fine berries and mushrooms (Be aware that this will result in a longer walking time!)
You will reach Russbach over the old "Pass-Gschütt" Street.
"Gletscherblick" (Glacier view) Circular path Hiking- and Walkingtrack, 7.5 km, easy
Path No. 47b, approx. 3.5 hours
After the ascent with the cable car "Hornbahn" this hike guides you to the "Edtalm" hut, further to the "Zwieselalm" hut and there along the "Herren" path back to the "Edtalm" hut. The path from the top station of the cable car to the "Edtalm" hut and back can also be reached with the "Ameisenexpress". The walking time will be reduced about one 1 hour (per way)
Panorama Way

Path No. 46a, approx. 5 hours
After the ascent with the cable car "Hornbahn" you walk to the "Edtalm. There you can rest a bit before you hike over the "Herren" path to the "Pass Gschütt" and walk back to Russbach over the old "Pass-Gschütt" Street. You can also take the postbus from "Pass Gschütt" to get back to Russbach - The walking time will be reduced about one 1 hour.
"Hornspitz" Circular path
Walking path, easy
Path No. 47a, approx. 15 min
After the ascent with the cable car "Hornbahn" you can walk around the "Horspitz" and enjoy the beautiful view on the "Dachsteinmassiv", "Gosaukamm", "Hohe Tauern", "Tennengebirge" and "Watzmann".
"Ameisensee" (ant lake) Russbach
Hiking- and Walkingtrack, 14 km, easy/medium
Path No. 47, approx. 2,5 hours
After the ascent with the cable car "Hornbahn" you walk direction "Edtalm" to the "Ameisensee" (ant lake). From there you follow the signs in direction "Russbach - Ortsteil Gseng". Afterwards you walk along the old road to get back to the valley station of the cable car "Hornbahn".
"Edtalm-Zweiselalmhöhe-Gosau"

Path No. 46, short steep ascent, approx. 3 hours
After the ascent with the cable car "Hornbahn" you walk further to the "Edtalm" hut. The short steep ascent to the "Zwieselalm" height will be rewarded with a breathtaking view! From there you will reach the top station of the cable car "Gosaukamm". You can either descent with the cable car "Gosaukamm" or you walk down to the lake Gosau (path no. 20). There you can take the postbus for the return journey. Please inform yourself about the scedule in advance!
